VISA UPDATE
The Government of Indonesia began granting visas on arrival (VOA) to Dutch Nationals, effective May 23, 2006.
Dutch citizens now join the nationals of 35 other countries having the option of purchasing a visa upon landing in Indonesia.

All those who want to stay longer than 30 days. Citizens of most countries can stay longer than 30 days and up to a maximum of 60 days foir tourist reasons, provided they obtain a visum before arriving. Citizens of above countries may purchase a visa as follows:
USD 25 for thirty-day non-extendable visa
We recommend any visitor wishing to purchase this type of visa upon arrival, to carry the exact amount of USD in cash money (notes only). Credit card payments as payments in another currency than USD, are allowed, but may lead to unnecessary delays.
This type of visa is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other type of visa. Visitors who want to stay longer need to apply for a visum in their country of residence.

Any visitors who has the intention of entering Indonesia through any other than above international gateway, is required to purchase a visum before departure. |

Thailand , Malaysia , Singapore , Brunei Darussalam , Philippines , Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Chile , Morocco , Peru and Vietnam.
Nationals of these countries and territories will be issued with a 30-day stay permit without charge upon presentation of a passport with 6 months remaining validity.
The Visa Free Facility is non-extendable or convertible into another type of visa. |

Starting from the 1st of August 2005, the Indonesian governement allows Belgian citizens to obtain a visa on arrival in those gateways mentioned above. In case of a visa on arrival, the length of stay is limited to 30 days.
You'll still need a passport valid until at least 6 months after the date of departure from Indonesia .
However and in following cases, Belgian citizens are required to get in touch with the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels :

when intending a stay longer than 30 days – the Indonesian Embassy will issue tourist visa for stays up to a maximum of 60 days |

when applying for a business or social visa |
Following conditions must be fulfilled:

international passport valid valid for at least 6 (six) months after return date for a stay of 60 days with one entry only, or valid at least 18 (eighteen) months after return date for a visa allowing multiple entries within 1 (one) year; |
| - |
applicants should bring along one photo as indicated on the application form |
| - |
a letter of garanty from the company which represents the applicant or from the Indonesian conmpany he/she will visit; |
| - |
applicants should bring a photocopy of their return ticket to Indonesia or a statement from their travel company, stating that they will travel to Indonesia |
Processing of all applications and request will take approximately 7 (seven) working days. |
